Who We Are
Atrium Interiors is not your typical home furnishings retailer. Each item that we carry is hand crafted by highly qualified European artisans and furniture makers. Our focus has always been in the final product. Starting with the design, each item is subject to a lengthy manufacturing process where attention is paid to the minute detail, from the careful selection of the materials, the craftsmanship process, and of course, the finish. The final result is a timeless piece, the type that is passed down from generation to generation.
In this website you will be able to browse our catalog, as well as photos of items that were commissioned by various clients and whose preferences and choices of materials are as diverse as their individualities.
We take pride in our personalized relationships and look forward to establishing a long lasting partnership with you in order to ensure that your (and our) high expectations are fully met. Our Process
Each item that we make is hand crafted by highly qualified European artisans and cabinets makers that follow centuries old traditions. Our focus has always been in the final product. Starting with the design, each item is subject to a lengthy manufacturing process where attention is paid to the minute detail, from the careful selection of the materials, the craftsmanship process, and of course, the finish. The final result is a timeless piece guaranteed to satisfy you and your client.
In addition to our factory, we work closely with a network of trusted suppliers, which allow us to incorporate different materials into our products. Materials used to fabricate the items photographed in this brochure include various solid woods and veneers, MDF, HDF, marine grade plywood, steel, iron, glass, and marble. By incorporating all of these materials at the source, we deliver a finished and complete product, saving both in time and cost.
At Atrium Interiors, we do not have any minimum orders. Whether you need furnishings for a large project or a single case good, we are happy to be of assistance. Our lead time is between 10-16 weeks. And remember that your imagination is the limit, both with regards to materials and finishes. If needed, we can also assist with providing CAD drawings for the item that you desire. We can work from CAD drawings, hand drawings, or simply by photos.
We take pride in our personalized relationships and look forward to establishing a long lasting partnership with you in order to ensure that your (and our) high expectations are fully met. At Atrium Interiors you will find a friendly staff willing to work with you, and, importantly, within your budget. Stop by or give us a call to discuss your individual needs. What People Say
The furniture manufactured by Atrium Interiors is exquisite. I have been ordering custom furniture from Atrium for my design clients since 2006. For each piece they have worked meticulously with me on every detail. Also, working with Tiago and his team is a true pleasure; they are reliable, extremely knowledgeable and patient. They produce absolutely lovely furniture.
Atrium Interiors provided me with a top notch service for both designing and creating the furniture for my whole house in Bethesda! They were highly professional and respectful of deadlines, as well as willing to take the extra step to always make sure that our interests were best served. Their prices are unbeatable and their quality is the best I have ever seen on the furniture and designing business!
We did a large remodeling of our recently bought condo. We met Mr. Tiago Pinto, the Managing Director of Atrium Interiors. From the beginning we were impressed by his knowledge, his creativity and his pleasantly engaging manner. We had already done extensive research regarding the cost quality and design of wall units, cabinetry in the master bedroom, offices and breakfast room as well as custom made furniture. We liked the quality of materials and the excellent workmanship which we saw in a completed project of his that he brought us to see. These, together with his competitive pricing, gave us the confidence to proceed to work with Atrium Interiors. During the entire remodeling project, Atrium Interior interacted in a seamless manner with the architect and contractors. When the European manufactured cabinetry arrived we were delighted with its quality, elegance and fit. The work was delivered exactly at the promised time. Moreover, our custom made leather king size bed, with large built in storage underneath, is perfect and beautiful. We unreservedly recommend Atrium Interiors for similar projects. We plan to include pictures at a later date when we are more organized with our move.
I asked for a design of a wall unit for the living room in my townhouse in Potomac, MD. The design was delivered on time and I had a very good communication with the company during the process. Tiago Pinto is a professional that advises correctly , answers questions and adjusts the project to the necessities . The materials are great , the sliding doors run perfect , and very important ! the installers were very accurate, clean and reliable. I strongly recommend Atrium Interiors . They understand people with the highest knowledge of furniture and artistic design.
Our experience with Atrium Interiors was nothing short of incredible. My wife and I had the opportunity to work with Tiago and he was extremely professional, knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to work with. We approached Tiago and his team with the challenge of designing and building a custom butcher’s block / coffee bar for our kitchen. We provided multiple pictures of how we wanted it to look (type of wood, dimensions, colors, etc.) and within a few days Tiago provided us a blue-print that reflected our vision perfectly. Next, Tiago asked us about things we didn’t even think about (e.g., type of knobs/handles on the drawers). Even though this was a small detail, Tiago was on top of it and helped us the select the perfect handle accents. During the construction process, Tiago followed up with us frequently on status, sent us in-progress photographs, and kept us in the loop with how everything was going (without any requests from us). Lastly, the finished product spoke volumes of Atrium Interior’s capabilities, craftsmanship and ultimate talent in designing and constructing beautiful furniture. My wife and I are very excited to be future, repeat Atrium Interior customers as well as recommend and refer Atrium Interior’s services to our friends, family and colleagues! Thanks again, Tiago, for the amazing work!
Furniture Care Tips
Wood furniture will react to changes in climate, namely humidity and extreme temperature variations. It is important to keep the environment where the furniture is placed properly humidified. The ideal temperature for both solids and veneers is between 70-74 degrees with 40 percent humidity. Avoid placing furniture items near heating or air conditioning ducts.
Likewise, you should avoid exposing your furniture to sunlight, as bleaching will occur. Items containing plastic agents, such as calculators, telephones, place mats and vinyl notebook binders, should not be in direct contact with fine furniture, as the plastic may react chemically with the finish resulting in discoloration or softening of the finish. Always use felt pads under these articles. You should also use felt or cloth pads under articles such as glasses, bookends, and flowerpots in order to avoid damaging or scratching the finish.
Our furniture has either a protective polyurethane or lacquer finish that most likely will not require any care other than dusting. To remove dust, rub a soft cloth over your furniture’s wood surface. For a paste waxed surface use a moist, lint-free cloth, and dry immediately with another soft cloth. Make sure to blot spills immediately after they occur. Letting water or alcohol sit on the furniture’s surface may damage the wood finish.
